Suspect Charged in Fatal Shooting at Allendale Road Apartment Complex
Charges have been filed against Francisco Gonzalez, an 18-year-old male, in connection with the fatal shooting of Hector Castillejos-Arce, 46, at an apartment complex located at 4801 Allendale Road. The incident occurred on July 7 at approximately 1:15 a.m.
Gonzalez faces a capital murder charge in the 351st State District Court. A booking photo of the suspect has been attached to this news release.
On the night of the incident, Houston Police Department (HPD) patrol officers responded to a report of gunshots fired at the apartment complex. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Mr. Castillejos-Arce inside a vacant unit with at least one gunshot wound. Unfortunately, Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Witnesses in the vicinity reported hearing gunshots, followed by what sounded like a person jumping from a second-floor window onto the ground below. At the time, there was no known motive for the shooting, and the suspect’s identity remained undisclosed.
Subsequent investigation by HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Clark, M. Nicotra, J. Escobar, and M. Perez led to the identification of Francisco Gonzalez as the suspect. He was already in custody on unrelated charges when he was charged with capital murder on August 31 in connection with this fatal shooting case.
