Charges Filed Against Suspect in Fatal Shooting of Three Men, Suspect At-Large

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of three men that occurred on March 19 at 100815 Beechnut Street around 5:40 a.m.

The suspect, Jordy Barrios, 21, faces a capital murder charge in the 209th State District Court. Barrios, who is currently not in custody, is the subject of an ongoing investigation.

The victims have been identified as Jorge Vazquez, 30, Gerardo Filomeno, 30, and Cesar Villalon, 39.

The Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division, led by Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective N. Sharp, responded to the scene following a report of a person down in a strip center parking lot at the aforementioned address. Upon arrival, officers discovered the three victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced them deceased at the scene.

Initial investigations revealed that the victims may have been involved in a dispute with an unidentified Hispanic male who was accompanied by an unidentified Hispanic female. Following the shooting, both the male and female fled the scene.

Subsequent investigation efforts led to the identification of Jordy Barrios as the primary suspect. On Wednesday, August 30, a capital murder charge was officially filed against him. The female has been identified as a witness and is not expected to face charges at this time.
