Suspect Arrested in Shooting of Five People at Houston Bar

Houston police have filed charges against a suspect in connection with a shooting that injured five people at a bar located at 3333 Raleigh Street around 2:35 a.m. on March 2, 2025.

The suspect, Kendrick Montgomery, 21, is charged with aggravated assault – mass shooting in the 232nd State District Court. A booking photo of Montgomery was included in the news release.

Montgomery is accused of shooting three men, aged 58, 36, and 31, and two women, aged 43 and 32. Two victims (aged 36 and 43) remain hospitalized in stable condition, while the other three have been released from medical care.

According to HPD Major Assaults Division Sergeant J. Cimeni, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the bar and found five adult victims with gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the victims to area hospitals.

Witnesses reported that an unidentified male driving a white sedan pulled up in front of the bar’s entrance, exited the vehicle with a rifle, and fired multiple shots at staff and customers near the front door before fleeing westbound on Raleigh Street.

Further investigation identified Montgomery as the suspect, and he was arrested on March 7 by HPD SWAT, South Central, and Southeast Patrol Crime Suppression Teams, with assistance from the FBI Houston Office. Montgomery was booked into the Harris County Jail.
