Suspect Arrested in Northside Houston Stabbing Incident

Charges have been filed against Marlon Elias Aplicano-Maldonado, 37, in connection with the stabbing of a 40-year-old man at 9808 Bauman Road in Northside on November 24. Aplicano-Maldonado is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 487th State District Court.

Houston Police Department (HPD) patrol officers responded to a cutting call at the specified address around 3:55 p.m. last Friday. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim who had been stabbed. The 40-year-old victim was transported to an area hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

According to witnesses, the altercation between Aplicano-Maldonado and the victim began as a verbal argument and escalated, leading to the stabbing. During the incident, the victim reportedly struck Aplicano-Maldonado in the head with a pipe.

Aplicano-Maldonado was detained at the scene and later taken to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries. Subsequently, he was charged for his role in the assault. The case will be addressed in the 487th State District Court.
