Suspect Arrested in Huntsville Gas Station Shooting Death of 24-Year-Old

On March 7, 2025, at around 11 p.m., Tyrese O’Bryant, 24, was shot multiple times at a Huntsville gas station, resulting in his death. Following the shooting, detectives with the Huntsville Police Department obtained a warrant for the arrest of Deonte Walker on March 8, 2025.

With the help of several federal and state agencies, including U.S. Homeland Security Investigations Gang Unit, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, Texas Office of the Inspector General, Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Walker was located and arrested without incident at an apartment complex near FM 1960 and Mills Road in Houston, Texas.

Walker has been transported to the Walker County Jail, where he will face charges related to the shooting death of O’Bryant.
