Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Cousin at Houston Residence

Houston police have arrested 23-year-old Quinton Waldo Lee in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at 8447 Sterlingshire Street on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Lee has been charged with murder in the 351st State District Court. The identity of the victim, a 28-year-old male, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Brown and M. Cass reported that officers responded to a shooting call at the residence and found an unresponsive male with gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The suspect, identified as Lee, fled the area before police arrived.

Investigators determined that the victim had been involved in an argument with his roommate, Lee, who is also his cousin. The altercation escalated when Lee pulled a gun and shot the victim multiple times.

Lee was apprehended a few blocks from the scene and was taken into custody. He has been charged with murder and transported to jail. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
