Suspect Apprehended By K9 Officer After Pursuit and Foot Chase in Harris County

On November 22, 2023, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle in the 20200 block of Holzwarth Road. The driver, later identified as 19-year-old Kevin Moreno, refused to comply, initiating a brief pursuit.

Upon stopping the vehicle, Moreno exited and fled on foot. The pursuit came to an end with the assistance of Constable K9 “Rambo,” handled by Deputy Tom Ramsey, leading to the successful apprehension of the suspect.

During the investigation, deputies discovered a handgun inside Moreno’s vehicle. The suspect, Kevin Moreno, was subsequently arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. He now faces charges of Evading and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon.

Kevin Moreno’s bond has been set at $16,500.00 by the 185th District Court and County Court 7.
