Stafford Officer Receives Life Saving Award for Rescuing Unresponsive Man
On the evening of August 7, 2024, Chief Ramirez and the Stafford City Council honored Officer Shane Rose with the Life Saving Award for his courageous actions on July 6, 2024.
On July 6, Officer Rose was dispatched to a call in the Fountains neighborhood to assist another agency with an adult male who was having seizures. When Officer Rose arrived at the location, he found the male unresponsive and not breathing. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Officer Rose promptly began administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). His swift and effective intervention led to the male regaining consciousness and resuming normal breathing.
Fort Bend EMS arrived at the scene shortly thereafter and took over the medical care of the individual. Officer Rose’s timely response and life-saving measures were pivotal in stabilizing the male’s condition and preventing a potentially fatal outcome.
