Spring Man Arrested After Spitting on Deputy During Family Disturbance Call

SPRING, TX – On Sunday, January 4, 2026, deputies with Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office, Precinct 4, responded to a reported family disturbance in the 3000 block of Bury Park Drive in Spring.

During the investigation, deputies attempted to detain 26-year-old Andrew Silva. While being taken into custody, Silva spit in the face of one of the deputies.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was notified and accepted charges related to the incident. Deputies also discovered Silva had three outstanding traffic warrants through Harris County, which were confirmed at the scene.

Silva was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on charges of harassment of a public servant, assault, and the outstanding traffic warrants. His bond was set at $60,000 by the 230th District Court, according to Constable Mark Herman.
