Skeletal Remains Found IH-610; Houston Police Investigating
Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on skeletal remains found at 600 West Loop South (Interstate Highway 610) about 9:30 a.m. today (May 12).
The identity, gender and cause of death of the individual are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Arrington and Detective D. Stark reported:
Officers responded to a report of skeletal remains at 1000 West Loop South where they met with a witness who led them to the location where the skeletal remains were found at the above address. Both HPD homicide investigators and investigators with the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences confirmed the skeletal remains were human.
The investigation is pending results from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
