Shoplifter Arrested at Houston Home Depot: Repeat Offender Faces Felony Theft Charges
On January 13, 2023, a deputy from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a report of shoplifting at the Home Depot in the 20100 block of the North Freeway.
The suspect, identified as 56-year-old Jonathan Hypolite, had concealed merchandise valued at over $260 and successfully bypassed all points of sale without making a purchase.
Constable Deputies apprehended Hypolite, recovered the stolen merchandise, and returned it to the store. Subsequent investigation revealed that Hypolite had multiple prior convictions for theft.
Hypolite was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Felony Theft. His bond was set at $15,000.00 by the 176th District Court.
