Shooting Incident Outside Mont Belvieu Prompts Police Response

On Tuesday, February 27th, just after 5pm, Mont Belvieu Police Department (MBPD) responded to a shooting report at a local Emergency Room. The victim had been transported to the ER by private vehicle, and there were reports of the shooting suspect being present at the scene.

MBPD officers arrived and detained all individuals involved. Upon investigation, it was determined that the shooting had taken place at a residence outside the city limits in Chambers County. The incident possibly stemmed from an alleged burglary at the residence in question.

MBPD informed the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office and collaborated closely with them as the investigation progressed. The investigation is ongoing.
