Shooting at Montwood High School Homecoming After-Party in El Paso Leaves One Dead and Five Injured
In the early hours of September 17th, 2023, officers from the El Paso Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at the 12300 block of Tierra Inca. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered multiple individuals with gunshot wounds.
Tragically, a 19-year-old male resident of El Paso succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital. The victim has been identified as a 19-year-old male.
The El Paso Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Detectives arrived at the scene to launch a comprehensive investigation into the incident. Preliminary findings suggest that the residence where the shooting occurred was rented as an Airbnb by high school students for a Montwood High School homecoming after-party.
A total of six individuals were injured in the shooting:
- Victim 1: A 19-year-old male resident of El Paso, TX (Deceased)
- Victim 2: An 18-year-old male resident of El Paso, TX (Injured)
- Victim 3: An 18-year-old male resident of Socorro, TX (Injured)
- Victim 4: A 17-year-old male resident of El Paso, TX (Injured)
- Victim 5: A male of unknown age (Injured)
- Victim 6: A female of unknown age (Injured)
