Second Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting at Wilcrest Drive Hotel in Houston

Houston police have arrested a second suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of Tyler McGinty, 37, which occurred on November 24 at a hotel room located at 3850 Wilcrest Drive.
Christian Myles Davis, 25, has been charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 486th State District Court. Another suspect, Zavion Joshua Pabon, 18, faces the same charges.
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the hotel at approximately 1:40 p.m. on November 24 and found McGinty suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries on November 28.
Investigators identified Davis and Pabon as suspects in the case. Pabon was initially considered a “person of interest” but was formally charged and arrested on December 5. Davis turned himself in to police on December 12 and was booked into the Harris County Jail.
Both suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues.
