San Jacinto County Woman Arrested After Chasing Boyfriend With Loaded Gun

COLDSPRING, Texas – San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a woman following a domestic disturbance that investigators say involved an attempted assault with an edged weapon.
Deputies responded to a disturbance in progress on Cora Brown Road in the Coldspring area and made contact with individuals at the scene. Authorities determined a male victim had been assaulted during a domestic dispute.
According to investigators, the suspect, identified as Alisha Gunderson, allegedly pursued her boyfriend after an argument while armed with an edged weapon and attempted to cause bodily harm. Deputies intervened and took Gunderson into custody without further incident.
Gunderson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a felony offense under Texas law. She was transported to the San Jacinto County Jail and booked.
The Sheriff’s Office stated it takes incidents of domestic violence seriously and remains committed to protecting victims and holding offenders accountable. Officials noted that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
