Repeat Offender Faces New Child Porn Charges in Harris County in Case Involving Assault of Child Under 10

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A 24-year-old man from the Houston area is back in custody and facing serious new felony charges after authorities say he resumed searching for and possessing child pornography just months after receiving leniency on similar offenses.

Jordan Kelly Vance was previously charged with possession of child pornography by detectives from Harris County Constable Precinct 4, led by Constable Mark Herman. In July 2025, Vance received a deferred adjudication of guilt for those charges, a judicial disposition in Texas that allows a defendant to avoid a formal conviction if they successfully complete probation-like conditions.

However, investigators say the offenses did not stop there.

In January 2026, detectives received information that Vance was once again actively searching for and locating files of child pornography through online applications. Following a detailed investigation by Constable Precinct 4 detectives, Vance was arrested and charged with two additional first-degree felony counts of possession of child pornography.

These new charges are described as especially disturbing, as they involve visual material depicting the sexual assault of a child under 10 years of age.

Vance is currently being held in the Harris County Jail. No bond has been set on the new charges at this time.

Because of the alleged reoffending, Vance will also face potential revocation of his deferred adjudication from 2025, which could result in additional jail time related to the original charges.

“Our office provides all available resources to protect the most vulnerable of our citizens, especially the children of this community,” Constable Mark Herman stated.
