Port Arthur Shooting Suspect Captured in Austin by US Marshals

Marcus Glen Kemper, a 20-year-old Port Arthur resident wanted for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, has been captured in Austin, Texas today by members of the US Marshals Service.

The Port Arthur Police Department, along with the US Marshals Service, had been relentlessly searching for Kemper following his indictment on April 17th for a shooting incident that occurred on December 29, 2023, in the 4100 block of 39th Street. During the incident, Kemper allegedly fired into a parked vehicle, striking the victim multiple times.
