Police Seek Information in Port Arthur Shooting: Two Suspects Ambush Vehicle, Injure Juvenile Occupant

On December 29, 2023, at 1:41 am, the Port Arthur Police Department responded to a shooting incident in the 3800 block of Russell Dr. in Groves. The investigation revealed that the victim had been shot in the 4100 block of 39th at Sabina Townhomes in Port Arthur.

According to video footage, two suspects armed with handguns ambushed a vehicle occupied by several juveniles in the 4100 block of 39th. The suspects fired multiple shots, resulting in serious injuries to one juvenile occupant. The suspects fled the scene on foot in a northeasterly direction.

In an effort to gather more information, the police are urging residents in the area to review their security camera footage between 1:15 am and 1:35 am on December 29, 2023, for any suspicious activity.
