Police Search for Suspect in Northeast Houston Shooting on Lockwood Drive
The Houston Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the fatal shooting of a 50-year-old man at 4922 Lockwood Drive in Northeast Houston on Sunday, December 3, around 5:25 p.m.
Authorities were alerted to the incident through a shooting call in a business parking lot at the mentioned address. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the male victim, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the victim was pronounced deceased at the location.
According to detectives, the suspect, described only as a black male, was reportedly in an older model maroon Ford Expedition. The suspect fired multiple shots, striking the victim who was standing in the parking lot, before fleeing the scene in the aforementioned vehicle.
The suspect’s vehicle was later found at a nearby gas station. The identity of the victim is currently pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
