Police Investigate Fatal Hit-and-Run on Broadway Street in Houston
Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred in the 2900 block of Broadway Street.
The crash happened at about 6:05 p.m. on Friday, January 2. The victim has been identified as Lazaro Noa Garcia, 73.
According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Le and Officer R. Leibold, the man was walking eastbound in a crosswalk when he was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling southbound. The driver did not stop to render aid.
Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The vehicle involved is described as a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Toyota 4Runner.
