Police Investigate Covert Recording Device Found at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, Texas—The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) has launched a criminal investigation after a covert recording device was discovered in a unisex restroom at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center.
On August 22, administrators at Memorial Hermann were alerted by an employee who found the device. The hospital immediately notified law enforcement and turned the device over to MCSO Major Crimes Unit Detectives.
Memorial Hermann officials stated they are fully cooperating with the investigation and have initiated a thorough search for any other devices that may have been placed within the facility.
The investigation is active, and the MCSO is working to determine the timeframes during which the device was in place and to identify potential victims. Authorities are asking anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a covert recording at the hospital to contact detectives.
