Pedestrian Dead in Fatal Hit-and-Run on Broadway Street

Authorities are currently investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred at 8300 Broadway Street in South Houston around 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 9.

The victim, a 26-year-old male pedestrian, was fatally struck by a black four-door SUV traveling northbound on Broadway Street. The incident took place as the pedestrian was crossing the street at the mentioned location, not within the designated crosswalk. The driver of the SUV failed to stop and provide assistance, fleeing the scene immediately after the collision.

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Despite the prompt arrival of paramedics, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
