Operation Infiltration: 11 Arrested in Massive Galveston County Child Solicitation Sting

LEAGUE CITY, TX — A massive, multi-agency internet sting spearheaded by local police and the Houston-Metro ICAC Task Force has resulted in the arrest of 11 suspected child predators across Galveston and Brazoria counties.

The operational brief, released by the League City Police Department on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, details a coordinated, multi-day proactive digital operation conducted throughout June. To date, 11 individuals have been formally booked, with at least one additional felony arrest warrant currently pending.

Task Force Decoys Infiltrate Digital Platforms

The sweeping initiative utilized undercover decoys from regional Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) units to monitor chat applications, social networks, and classified sites frequently used by predators to seek out children.

Every individual snared during the sting has been slapped with felony charges of Online Solicitation of a Minor.

According to task force records, one of the arrested individuals faces significantly enhanced penalties after a subsequent search uncovered deep-tier digital and physical contraband. In addition to the solicitation charge, that suspect was booked on three counts of Possession of Visual Material Depicting the Sexual Assault of a Child and a felony charge for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 1).

Collaborating Task Force Roster: Highlighting the critical scale of the operation, the League City Police Department extended formal recognition to a sprawling network of local, state, and federal partners that embedded personnel inside the command post, including:

  • Municipal Agencies: Texas City PD, Pearland PD, Dickinson PD, Hitchcock PD, Manvel PD, and the Houston Police Department.
  • County & State Lifelines: Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
