Off-Duty Lakeview Police Officer Killed in Dickinson Motorcycle Crash

DICKINSON, TX – An off-duty Lakeview Police Department officer tragically died in a motor vehicle accident on the feeder road at Gulf Freeway and FM 517 in Dickinson, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office announced.

The officer, who was in uniform and riding his personal motorcycle to work, was struck by another vehicle.

Preliminary findings suggest that the crash does not appear to be criminal in nature, and no charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

The name of the deceased officer is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
