North Lubbock Fatal Crash Claims Life of 70-year-old Man
The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating a single vehicle collision that left a man dead in North Lubbock.
Officers responded to a report of a collision with injuries in the 3400 block of North University Avenue at 4:32 pm on August 8, 2023.
Through the initial course of the investigation, it appears 70-year-old John Cook was driving a car traveling north in the 3400 block of North University Avenue. It appears the vehicle lost control and struck a curb on the east side of the roadway before rolling over.
Cook was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
