A joint operation between the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) and the Houston Police Department’s North Belt Crime Suppression Team on April 10, 2025, resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the recovery of four firearms, including two illegally modified with “Glock switches” and one confirmed stolen from Tennessee.

The coordinated traffic stop, conducted during an active investigation targeting known fugitives and felons in Montgomery County, led to the arrests of 20-year-old Montreal Dwayne Frye Jr., charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon with a $100,000 bond, and 17-year-old Jocquez Dwmayne Frye, charged with a Harris County Warrant for Larceny and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, with a $6,000 bond.

Sheriff Wesley Doolittle lauded the collaborative effort, stating, “This is exactly what strong law enforcement partnerships look like… Together, we’re sending a clear message: if you threaten the safety of our residents, we will find you, and we will hold you accountable.”
