Montgomery County Deputies Foil Stolen ATV Operation in Conroe

On December 6, 2023, at 1:05 AM, Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office East Precinct discovered a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a closed business in the 9100 block of TX-242, Conroe, Texas. The driver, there to allegedly meet someone named “TJ” for a motorcycle purchase, disclosed that “TJ” had earlier attempted to sell him a stolen “side-by-side” ATV. The driver provided information on “TJ’s” location.

Acting on the lead, deputies proceeded to the specified location and observed a suspicious vehicle pulling a stolen “side-by-side” ATV on a trailer, obstructing the roadway. The ATV was confirmed as stolen from San Jacinto County. The driver, identified as 45-year-old James Trawick, was subsequently arrested for Theft.

During the arrest, Trawick was found in possession of Methamphetamine, leading to an additional charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Second-degree Felony. Trawick is currently held in the Montgomery County Jail.
