Metro Unit Conducting Death Investigation in Central Lubbock
A death investigation is underway by the Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit in Central Lubbock where three individuals were found deceased.
Lubbock Police were called to the 2700 block of 46th Street at 10:37 am on August 21, 2023, following reports of a dead body. Upon arrival, officers located LaCandria Ibrahim, 37, a nine-year-old male and a seven-year-old female, all of whom were deceased.
Through the initial course of the investigation, it appears property management was attempting to access the unit and upon entry located Ibrahim, prompting a call to 9-1-1. The two children were then located by responding officers.
The Lubbock Police Department wants to clarify this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
