Man in Custody After Standoff at Lubbock Residence with Children Inside
A 29-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with an incident that unfolded in the 1900 block of 21st Street on October 30, 2023. The Lubbock Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at 8:59 am.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a 28-year-old female outside the residence who had managed to escape prior to their arrival. She was transported to Covenant Medical Center by LPD officers and was found to have suffered only minor injuries.
Initial investigations revealed that the 29-year-old suspect, Moses Clark, was inside the residence with three children while making threats to harm himself. In response to the information gathered at the scene, a callout was initiated at 10:52 am for the SWAT Team and the Negotiator Team.
After nearly four hours of negotiations, a 13-year-old female, a 12-year-old male, and a 10-year-old female were located unharmed inside the residence. Clark, who also emerged unscathed, was subsequently transported and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center.
He faces charges of sexual assault, domestic assault, and unlawful restraint in connection with the incident.
