Man Dies After Road Rage Incident on Katy Freeway in Houston

Houston police are investigating a fatal road rage incident that occurred around 4:35 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, in the 11700 block of Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10).

The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Dae Lee.

According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Dudley and Detective K. Heaverlo, patrol officers responded to reports of a road rage disturbance. Witnesses said there was a physical altercation between Lee and another male, which may have started during the road rage incident. Following the altercation, the victim climbed on top of the suspect’s vehicle as it drove away, causing him to fall off.

Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Lee to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead the next day, Sunday, May 25.

Officers later located the suspect’s vehicle unoccupied after a brief search.
