Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Domestic Dispute Shooting in Brazoria County
A man is in custody following a fatal shooting that occurred on the afternoon of May 31 in the Lake Jackson Farms area, stemming from a domestic dispute.
Deputies with the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene to find one individual suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by Life Flight to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Curtis Gunter, fled the scene but later surrendered to the Matagorda County Sheriff’s Office. He has been charged with one count of Murder, one count of Aggravated Kidnapping, and two counts of Aggravated Assault. Gunter is currently held on $2,000,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
