Man Arrested in Texas City Sting for Solicitation of a Minor

Internet Crimes Against Children Investigation (ICAC) undercover chat operation continued targeting individuals who solicit minors on the internet for inappropriate relationships. The initial operation started on March 26-28, 2024, where it resulted in several warrants filed and offenders taken into custody.

Members of the operation have been talking to this individual identified as 32-year-old Robert Hart since the initial operation in March 2024, but wasn’t charged or arrested during that operation. Communications continued which led Hart to agree to meet in Texas City for sex. Hart had full knowledge that the person he was chatting with was a minor.

At approximately 5:00 PM, Hart arrived at the meeting location where he was placed in custody by the Crime Suppression Unit (CSU). Galveston County District Attorney’s office accepted charge of online solicitation of a minor under 14 with bond set at $25,000.
