Houston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on Broadway Street

Houston police are currently investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred on Wednesday (May 8) around 7:30 p.m. at 2100 Broadway Street.

The victim, believed to be a man in his 30s, was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound by HPD patrol officers who responded to the scene. Despite efforts by Houston Fire Department paramedics, the victim was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses reported a verbal altercation between the victim and an unknown suspect before the shooting occurred. The suspect allegedly produced a gun and shot the victim at least once. As of now, there is no description available for the suspect.

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
