Man Arrested in Conroe For Multiple Sexual Assaults of Minors

On August 27, 2024, Constable Ryan Gable’s Detectives initiated a proactive investigation into a 35 year old male identified as Hernan Duarte from North Harris County, TX. Duarte was accused of sexually abusing multiple juvenile females after an initial victim was interviewed at Children’s Safe Harbor in Conroe, TX.

Detectives learned that Duarte was meeting with the juveniles within The Woodlands, TX and other counties within the State of Texas. During the investigation Detectives discovered that Duarte would seek out communication with juvenile females via social media applications, where he would drive to meet the juvenile females and have sexual encounters with them, all under the age of 15 years old. Precinct 3 Detectives posed as a victim online, where Duarte made arrangements with the undercover Detectives to meet at a local park in The Woodlands.

Upon arrival to the location Precinct 3 Detectives and Deputies were able to take Duarte into custody. Detectives believed that Duarte might have other victims that have not been identified. Duarte was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on 3 counts of Sexual Assault of a Child and 1 count of Indecency with a Child. Further charges are pending upon identifying additional victims.
