Oluwarotimi Oshungboye

A man was arrested on March 1, 2025, following a report of suspicious activity involving mail theft in a Houston neighborhood.

At approximately 3:44 p.m., deputies with Precinct 8 Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office responded to a call regarding a grey Honda with a New Jersey temporary license plate parked and running in the 15700 block of Dunmoor Drive. A complainant reported that a Black male driver had exited the vehicle, opened multiple mailboxes, and appeared to take mail from a neighbor’s mailbox before returning to his vehicle.

Deputy C. Crider arrived on the scene and made contact with the driver, identified as 20-year-old Oluwarotimi Oshungboye of Spring, Texas. During a consent search of Oshungboye’s vehicle, Deputy Crider located his wallet, which contained a fraudulent Texas driver’s license displaying Oshungboye’s photograph but with a different name, date of birth, and driver’s license number.

Additionally, multiple lock-picking tools were discovered inside the vehicle. Investigators also determined that Oshungboye was out on bond in Montgomery County for Solicitation of Prostitution at the time of this incident.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges against Oshungboye for Tampering with a Government Document related to the fraudulent driver’s license. However, charges were declined for Possession of Burglary Tools and Fictitious Registration.

Oshungboye was booked into the Harris County Jail without incident. His bond was set at $100.
