Bellaire, TX — A man was arrested Wednesday evening after police say a victim was pushed from a moving vehicle and dragged a short distance during a violent incident in Bellaire.

According to the Bellaire Police Department, officers were dispatched around 6 p.m. on March 4 to the 5200 block of Bellaire Boulevard for a reported auto-pedestrian crash.

Witnesses told police the victim had been pushed from a moving vehicle and was dragged for a short distance before the driver continued down the road.

Authorities said the driver then stopped a short distance away, got out of the vehicle, and fled the area on foot.

Police said the Bellaire Police & Fire Foundation’s Drone as First Responder was already overhead and helped locate a possible suspect. The drone observed a man believed to be the suspect boarding a nearby bus.

Officers quickly responded and made contact with the individual on the bus. He was identified as Ronald Guy and taken into custody.

Guy was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Police credited the quick response and teamwork of officers, along with witnesses who provided key information that helped identify the suspect.
