Man Arrested After Fleeing OnMotorcycle From Police
On August 4, 2023, around 01:18 am, officers were patrolling the area of 2600 N. Mesa when they observed Fonseca operating a motorcycle at a high rate of speed southbound on Mesa. Fonseca was weaving in and out of traffic without signaling and turning off all his lights while driving.
Officers caught up to the motorcyclist and attempted a traffic stop at I10 West near Yandell; however, after looking back at the officers, Fonseca evaded and sped off, turning off his lights.
Officers requested air support from The Texas Department of Public Safety, which located Fonseca traveling West on I-10 and tracked him to a residence on the west side of El Paso.
Officers found his motorcycle at the 7400 Block of Plaza Redonda. Fonseca was taken into custody at a home in the 7500 block of Plaza Taurina.
He was later booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
