La Marque Police Investigating Two Robberies at GameStop

The La Marque Police Department is currently investigating two aggravated robberies that occurred at the GameStop store located at 6408 Gulf Freeway, Suite A, in La Marque.

The first incident took place on August 11, 2024, at approximately 11:00 a.m. when two suspects entered the GameStop and displayed a firearm. The suspects held up employees, stealing video game consoles. Both suspects were masked and had their persons covered. After committing the robbery, the suspects fled in an unidentified vehicle.

The second robbery occurred on August 29, 2024, at approximately 8:00 p.m. In this incident, one suspect entered the same GameStop location and displayed a handgun. The suspect held up an employee and stole currency and gaming consoles. Like in the previous robbery, the male suspect was heavily masked and had his person covered. The suspect fled the scene in an unidentified vehicle.

The La Marque Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating both incidents. Detectives are working to determine if the two robberies are connected.
