La Marque Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault After Handgun Discharged

The La Marque Police Department (LMPD) arrested 31-year-old Armando Ventura on April 14th in connection to an assault in the 700 block of Rosedale St. The incident occurred at approximately 3:23 p.m.

Responding to an assault call, officers learned that Ventura allegedly assaulted the victim and brandished and discharged a handgun during the commission of the crime.

LMPD Officers, the Criminal Investigation Division, and the Crime Suppression Unit worked together to secure an arrest warrant for Ventura. He was apprehended and charged with Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon, with his bond set at $40,000.00.

Authorities also obtained a search warrant for the residence where the assault took place, and a handgun believed to have been used in the assault was recovered from the home.
