La Marque 19-Year-Old Arrested in Fatal Shooting at Apartment Complex on Rosalee Street

On January 30, 2024, at around 2:20 p.m., the La Marque Police Department responded to a dispatch at an apartment complex on Rosalee Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 19-year-old black male victim of an apparent shooting.

The victim was transported to Mainland Medical Hospital via ground ambulance, where he was pronounced deceased after arrival.

The Criminal Investigation Division and the Crime Scene Unit of the La Marque Police Department arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough investigation. Additionally, the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office was consulted throughout the ongoing inquiry.

In connection to the incident, 19-year-old Jevon Moore from Hitchcock, Texas, has been taken into custody. Moore now faces a Murder charge, with a bond set at $250,000. The investigation remains active, and authorities suggest more charges may be filed as the case unfolds.
