Juvenile Struck and Killed by Train in Apparent Accident in Houston

Houston police are investigating the death of a 15-year-old male who was struck by a Union Pacific train early this morning, December 9, 2024, at approximately 7:35 a.m. The incident occurred at 2000 Broadway Street.

The juvenile, whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, was attempting to cross in front of a moving train when he was struck. Paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced the male deceased.

At this time, authorities believe the incident to be accidental, with no indications of foul play. The investigation is being conducted by the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division, in collaboration with the Union Pacific Police Department.
