Jefferson County Narcotics Detectives Arrest Two, Seize Marijuana, Meth, and Illegal Drugs

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Texas – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says two suspected drug dealers were arrested in separate cases over the past week as part of ongoing narcotics investigations across the county.
In the first case, detectives arrested Jamie DeJesus Fobbs on January 20, 2026, in the North End of Beaumont. During the investigation, deputies seized approximately 8.5 pounds of marijuana, 11 ounces of synthetic PCP, and a stolen AR-style pistol. Fobbs was taken into custody and remains jailed on multiple charges, including a parole violation.
A second arrest occurred on January 26, 2026, in the Mid-County and Port Arthur area. Detectives arrested Joseph Ruzick on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Authorities seized approximately 12 ounces of methamphetamine and five grams of Xanax pills during that arrest.
The Sheriff’s Office said both cases are part of several active narcotics investigations being conducted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division.
