Illegal Gambling Operation Shut Down in Houston; Owner Arrested

An investigation by Constable Mark Herman’s Criminal Investigations Division has led to the shutdown of an illegal gambling operation in the 6300 block of Fallbrook Dr., and the arrest of 46-year-old Meayeath Kang.
Investigators received tips about illegal gambling activities at the establishment and conducted an undercover operation to confirm the allegations. After confirming the illegal activity, a search warrant was obtained and executed.
During the operation, authorities seized approximately $9,910 in suspected gambling proceeds, numerous illegal gambling devices, and documentation supporting the illegal operation.
Meayeath Kang was arrested and charged with Keeping a Gambling Place.
Constable Herman emphasized the dangers associated with illegal gambling establishments, stating that they attract a wide range of criminal activity and pose a risk to community safety. He warned that the proceeds from these operations often fund serious criminal enterprises.
