Human Remains Found in Montgomery County Woods Identified as Missing Harris County Woman

Human remains discovered in a wooded area near Decker Prairie Rosehill Road in Montgomery County on April 19, 2024, have been identified as belonging to Margaret Kay-Alana Turner, a woman reported missing from Harris County in March 2023.

Texas EquuSearch made the discovery and notified law enforcement.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with Homicide and Violent Crimes Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators, responded to the scene.

The remains were confirmed to be human and were taken to the Montgomery County Forensic Center. Forensic Pathologists used dental records to make the identification.

The circumstances and manner of death are still under investigation, but foul play is not suspected.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office hopes this identification will bring closure to Turner’s family and expresses condolences during this difficult time.
