Houston Woman Survives Shooting on Thrush Drive; Police Seek Information

Authorities are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Monday night at 6318 Thrush Drive around 11:20 p.m.

The victim, a 23-year-old woman, was shot outside a residence and subsequently transported to an area hospital. She is expected to survive her injury.

HPD patrol officers responded to a 911 call reporting the shooting and found the victim with a single gunshot wound. The Houston Fire Department paramedics transported her to the hospital for medical attention.

According to investigators, the victim was shot by an unknown suspect. After being wounded, she sought refuge at a neighbor’s residence, who called 9-1-1 for assistance.

As of now, the motive behind the shooting remains unknown.
