Houston Woman Fatally Shot in Domestic Dispute, Husband Sought by Authorities
Suspect: Ever Navarrete

In a tragic incident on Thursday night, a 48-year-old woman lost her life after being shot multiple times at a residence in the 12200 block of W. Village Drive, near Aldine Mail Route and Eastex Freeway. Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies swiftly responded to the scene following an emergency call.

The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was allegedly shot by her 55-year-old husband, Ever Navarrete, during a domestic dispute. The couple, reportedly in the process of a divorce, was caught in a confrontation as the woman was moving out of the residence.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez revealed, “When the husband found out that she was here at this location, he came here tonight, confronted her and opened fire on her, firing multiple shots at her and obviously striking her.” The victim was rushed to a local hospital, but tragically succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead later on.

Authorities have intensified efforts to locate Navarrete, who fled the scene in a white GMC Sierra pickup bearing Texas license plate number PBV-3006. He is now facing charges of Murder in connection with his wife’s death.

Sheriff Gonzalez emphasized the seriousness of domestic disputes, urging the public to recognize the gravity of such situations as they can escalate rapidly, leading to devastating outcomes.

Law enforcement is urging anyone with information about Navarrete’s whereabouts to come forward. If you have any information, please contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-274-9100 or CrimeStoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
