Houston Woman Dies in Crash After Hitting Disabled Trailer on Memorial Drive

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 7400 Memorial Drive around 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has yet to verify the identity of the deceased female, aged 62.

According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer T. Smith, the female was driving a black Ford Explorer when her vehicle collided with a white trailer that was disabled and unoccupied in a moving lane of traffic. Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the female deceased.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
