Houston Teen Arrested in Robbery, Investigators Link Him to Additional Cases
Devion Williams

HOUSTON, Texas — An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery at a southeast Houston Subway restaurant, with investigators saying he may be tied to additional cases.

Devion Williams, 18, is charged with robbery in the 487th State District Court following an incident that occurred around 4:00 p.m. on March 20, 2026, at a business in the 5000 block of South Lake Houston Parkway.

According to police, an employee reported that a male suspect entered the restaurant and demanded money from the register. The employee complied out of fear the suspect may have been armed and handed over cash. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

A Houston Police robbery detective conducted a follow-up investigation and identified Williams as a suspect. Authorities said he is also believed to be connected to several other robberies in the Houston area.

On April 14, 2026, charges were formally filed and a warrant was issued for Williams’ arrest.

On April 12, members of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, working with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force and Houston Police Department detectives, located Williams during a surveillance operation and took him into custody without incident.

Williams was transported to the Harris County Jail and booked on the robbery charge.

The investigation remains ongoing.
