Houston Police Seek Suspects in 2023 Fatal Shooting in Eastex-Jensen Area

Houston police have released surveillance footage of two suspects wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Ernesto “Joe” Vidaurri, 45, at 3721 Hage Street in Eastex-Jensen Area on December 7, 2023, at approximately 8:40 p.m.

The suspects are described as two unknown males. One was wearing a dark hoodie, light-colored sweatpants, and black shoes. The second suspect was wearing a dark beanie, a blue Dallas Cowboys jacket, blue jeans, and dark shoes, and was carrying what appeared to be a red bag or gas can. A bright blue Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, seen in the surveillance video, was spotted fleeing the scene after the shooting.

Officers responding to a robbery call found Vidaurri, also known by the nickname “Sumo,” unresponsive inside his home with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
