Houston Police Release Video of Suspect Vehicle in Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash

Houston police are seeking the driver of a white 18-wheeler tractor-trailer truck involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash at 11400 South Sam Houston Parkway East around 7:10 p.m. on January 31.

The crash resulted in the death of Francisco Medillin, 44, who was driving a silver Chevrolet Cavalier. A 9-year-old male passenger in the Cavalier sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital.

According to investigators, multiple vehicles were stopped at a red light at Sabo Road when the 18-wheeler struck the rear of the Cavalier, pushing it forward into a chain reaction crash involving a black Lexus RX350, a white Chevrolet Tahoe, a blue Ford Crown Victoria, and an unidentified Toyota. The driver of the 18-wheeler fled the scene without stopping. The driver of the Toyota also left without providing information.

The female driver of the Lexus was critically injured and transported to a hospital. Other victims from the crash were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
